Election Notification

June 07, 2019

Dear Member:

Welcome to the Communications Workers of America Local 7019! The merger of Locals 7019 and 7040 is now complete. All Piedmont employees will be represented under Unit 8. The Stations in your Unit have been divided into 2 areas as follows:

Area 1: MCI, OKC, OMA, SAT, TUL

Area 2: ANC, DRO, FLG, PHX, TUS, YUM

You will be represented by an Area Vice President over Unit 8. Each area will have an Area Representative elected by the members of the respective area. The notice of nominations for your representatives is enclosed. I encourage you to participate in the selection of your representatives. We believe the Communications Workers of America is the most democratic Union there is. As you know, a democracy depends on the people in it to make it work efficiently. If you have a problem first contact your job steward; if the steward cannot help, contact your Area Representative and then your Area Vice President in needed. Their contact information should be posted on our website and your Union bulletin boards as soon as the election has been certified. You can also call the Union hall and we will be happy to assist you. We have several active committees in which you may wish to participate. A brief description of each committee is located on our website. If you would like more information about a committee, please contact the chair or your Union representative. Our Union hall is located at 1615 N 36th St., Phoenix, AZ 85008. The telephone number is (602) 331-7019. You can also visit our website at www.cwa7019.org and register for e-mail alerts. The information is updated on a regular basis so visit the website often. Again, we are looking forward to seeing you at our next Union function.

In Unity,

Ron Fagan
